Bio / History |
Hi, my name is Wes & I’m the lead guitar player for the band, Stilborne, also co-founder.
Stilborne is a heavy garage Rock band from the seventies. Although being a gigging Rock band, the band was also involved with the political climate that existed then, Change in Government. Our song, Staring Faces, recorded on a reel to reel tape recorder in 1973, exemplifies the same change that is needed now. This song is dedicated to those who are fighting for change.
P.S. these songs have gone through hell throughout the years, (being on tape) & have been restored to the best possible sound.
Most of the songs on this album are cover songs. Only 3 are originals & so only the originals will be uploaded.
Check out Stilborne @ the PNWband site.

-----In 1996 Wes Ervine & Billy Miranda formed the duo, Deep Concept, 23 years after Stilborne broke up & released a single cassette & CD Entitled, Reality Strikes Again. |

Stilborne was a group that played in the seventies & has not been together for 37 years.
Hey everyone, this is Wes from the 1973 nostalgia Garage Rock band, Stilborne. Check out the gruff sounds of the seventies, when Rock was making it's change. The equipment certainly wasn't as good as the equipment that's produced now days, but it did get the job done. Although being a gigging Rock band, the band was also involved with the political climate that existed then, change in Government. Our song, Staring Faces, (recorded on an Akai reel to reel tape recorder in 1973), exemplifies the same change that is needed now. This song is dedicated to those who are fighting for change. P.S. these songs have gone through hell throughout the years, (being on 8 track tape, buried in the bass players garage for 12 years) & have been restored to the best possible sound. Most of the songs on this album are cover songs. Only 3 are originals & so only the originals will be uploaded. Check out the sounds. P.S. these recordings were done about 3 months after we formed, so we were still working on getting it to together, so the songs are a bit ruff. Unfortunately, we weren't able to record our songs after we were together for a year, because relatively good recording equipment was expensive & hard to get then & the recordings would have probably ended up, anyway, in some one elses garage, buried alive..... | posted: 11/24/2011 7:07:06 PM - email it - view/add comments(0)
| | Lyrics to Staring Faces -
Staring faces, lift the star dust, lifting gently ahead,
In the land of our people, and our fellow man.
Say you want it, then you pawn it, so where's it gone to now,
Times are changing, lets rearrange things, we need a better plan,
Tell your neighbor, so lets begin now, we need a helping hand.
Still they're staring, through the walls, federal agents,
Coming through the halls,
Now you're feelin, kind of sick, yeah
And that feelin, engulfs us all, spreading circles,
running southward, goin through my mind.
Staring faces, lift the stardust, lifts the stardust, of
our sorrow, and our people, sands are shifting, now they're turning, goin through the ground, like plastic people,
Now you're seeing, and you're listening, and you're here now.
Still you're listening, and you're seeing, and you're here now,
Be thankful, you are not being harmed, and be thankful, you have the moment to think it out | posted: 11/24/2011 7:03:06 PM - email it - view/add comments(0)
