Judy Arline Puckett Reflections of Judy
I am a graphic artist.poet and lyrist,
Currently I am working with a very talented musician John Wastnidge,
One beautiful song created from my lyrics,
is A Taste of Rain.
We have plans for others.
The newest will be Thousands of Tears,'Tears'
John Wastnidge is also a very talented writer,
and has a John Lennon quality and sound. Also I have been pleasantly surprized by a young talented man named Karthik Murali, who made a music video from my lyrics Hero , and turned it into a beautiful song. A new talented song writer and artist I'm also working with is LaMar Alexander, a song with my lyrics ,Love passed By. He changed the lyrics by adding a chorus he wrote, which normally I don't agree to, but the song came out very good. I have also worked with Chuck Zak on a few songs ,His band name is The Oxford Boys. .

Travel light
You don't need much in this life
If you want my best advice.
You can pick up and go
Wherever your future lies.
But it's better to travel light.
Leave all those things behind
That have held you so tight.
Some time its better to clear your mind.
You can't make every wrong right.
When you can't go back,
Its time to move on.
Let only the things in your heart
Make your home,
And everything that you own.
Make it worth the fight,
If you want my best advice
Travel light
The burdens and the crosses sometime
Will make you grow weak.
And for whatever you seek,
Take only what you need
To give you peace of mind
That every heart has sought,.
For every mile you walk ,
Through the long dark night,

| Cowgirl GI
Persuaded by freedoms roots.
She traded her boots
And her high heel shoes,
Someone has to pay the dues.
She traded her levies
And put her dreams on hold,
Another hero brave and bold.
A cowgirl at heart a GI ,
For the red white and blue
She will fight for freedom in the world.
Her daddy has always taught her wrong from right.
He's proud of his little girl.
She could have worn her momma's pearls tonight,
And danced under the stars,
But sometime daddy's little girls go to fight our wars,
She's a cowgirl GI
See that flag its flying high.
Kept up there by a brave GI,
Wherever she may go,
On foreign land,
Lady Liberty will hold her hand,
No time to have the latest fashion style,
She places her dreams on hold for awhile,
On the street she sees a child,
Their eyes meet,,
She gives her smile,
Wearing proudly Camo,
She can't right every wrong,
She may not write a song,
But she will always hold on to her roots,
A cowgirl now wears combat boots.
She could have worn her mommas pearls,
And danced under the stars,
But sometime daddy's little girls
Go to fight our wars,
She's a cowgirl GI | posted: 8/6/2010 9:44:00 AM - email it - view/add comments(0)

I CLOSE MY EYES
I see it coming,
but I close my eyes,
I try to live
love's sweet lies,
I know I need to get ready,
to let you go,
The blues are coming,
I already know,
But I close my eyes,
To love's sweet lies.
I see it coming,
the sad goodbyes,
I can look at you,
it's in your eyes,
It brings on heartace,
when love dies,
That mistake Eve made
in paradise,
The heartbreak of love's sweet lies,
I see it coming.
and my heart cries,
the blues will soon come
and love will go,
I close my eyes,
I don't want to know
I don't want to let love go.

| Just another old fading star
Just another old fading star
<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
His record never made it to the charts,
He never had a lucky break,
That old guitar moans,
He has always had truth in his songs.
He wrote them with every mistake
They are always of heartache,
King of the broken hearts,
Love has left its marks,
He sings in a run down bar,
Just another old fading star.
He will never be famous,
Or see his dreams come true,
He sings of things that made him blue,
His record never made it to the charts,
He never had a lucky break,
His songs were wrote by every mistake,
In lights that are low and dim,
Lady luck never smiled on him,
As she held his heart in her hand,
The heart will break a lonely man,
Under neon lights,
On long lonely nights
He sings in a run down bar,
There is another falling star,
Love has left its marks,
King of the broken hearts,
That old guitar moans,
He has always had truth in his songs,
They are always of heartache,
He wrote them with every mistake.
He sings in a run down bar,
Just another old fading star, | posted: 7/29/2010 5:29:00 PM - email it - view/add comments(0)

Barflies
<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
There aren’t many choices for a single woman to have,
She can spend another long lonely night alone,
Or open up the closet,
And put the red dress on,
She can sit at home alone,
Wishing on a star,
For love to come and just
Knock on her door,
She has waited so many long lonely nights before,
Some nights are so lonely,
She can’t take it any more.
They are called bar flies,
With tears that refuse to reach their eyes,
They take off their shoes,
And they dance away the blues,
They had only two choices to make,
And goodtimes is the one they choose.
They could just stay home alone at night,
Like so many others do,
Waiting for love to come knock on the door,
Sometime it seems so cruel,
Is love only a dream of the fool,
For those who can’t take it any more,
They open up that closet door,
And put the red dress on.
The other choice to make,
Is to stay another night alone.
She may leave the bar alone,
It’s hard to say,
Or she may find someone
That feels the same way.
But tomorrow when they awake
That double standard man will be gone,
She will be left to write
Another heartbreak song,
She’s right back where she started,
She wonders where she went wrong.
The broken hearted
Woman alone.
