Verse1:
Well I dealt you all the cards girl but you held all the hands and you called all my little bluffs girl when you went and found another man
So lets forget about a placing blame, this doesn't have to be goodbye I learned a lesson when a lady luck she went and left me high and dry
Chorus:
So baby please just give me one more chance to show it's double or nothing girl double or nothing double or nothing before I go
Yeah double or nothing double or nothing double or nothing before I go
la,la,la,la,la,la,la

Verse 2:
You've been counting all your winnings While I've been gasping for some air it can't buy you any happiness just a lifetime of despair
The choice is really very easy, you know it's just like a rolling dice you might wake up in the morning find a brand new paradise
Chorus:
So baby please just give me one more chance to show it's double or nothing girl double or nothing double or nothing before I go
Yeah double or nothing double or nothing double or nothing before I go
la,la,la,la,la,la,la

Verse 3:
forget about a trying to cash your chips, You don't know how your fate can turn careful when your crossing bridges that fall to pieces as they burn
Girl I'm raising up the ante please tell me your "all in" we can shuffle up this here deck and start it over again
Chorus:
So baby please just give me one more chance to show it's double or nothing girl double or nothing double or nothing before I go
Yeah double or nothing double or nothing double or nothing before I go

| | "It Ain't Lonely at The Bottom" © 2007 R.Young/B.Williams/B.McBryde/R.Terry
(Verse 1)
Its so hard to climb that ladder Oh the price you pay's too high all the promises made and broken brought down better men who've tried
Things they asked of me aint natural for a man who has his pride If I'd hung around much longer I know a piece of me would die
(Chorus)
It aint Lonely at the bottom got some real good company we don't have alot of money but the goodtimes sure are free
All my friends are never busy I can always find them here You can hear them talking stories drowning troubles drinking beer
(Verse 2)
The fast track I was driving never took me anywhere Just drove around in circles never finding myself there
So I left it all behind me for a life that I could live and I got back so much more than I could ever give
(Chorus)
It aint Lonely at the bottom got some real good company we don't have alot of money but the goodtimes sure are free
All my friends are never busy I can always find them here You can hear them talking stories drowning troubles drinking beer
(Verse 3)
More to life than chasing treasures that steal you of your precious time It'll never lead to happiness You got to leave it all behind
Plenty of room here at the bottom If you just check in at the door its not hard and once you've done it Don't have to worry any more
(Ending Chorus)
It aint Lonely at the bottom Nobody's going anywhere If you tell them that there crazy They'll just tell you they don't care
It aint Lonely at the bottom got some real good company we don't have alot of money but the goodtimes sure are free
"Teenage Alibi" © 2008 Rob Young
Verse 1
Way back in nineteen seventy six It was about love not politics Concert shirts, and our hair was long We really dug our rockin roll songs
Stayed out past midnight and our parents would sigh tried to sell them on a teenage alibi
Chased the girls down in Ft Lauderdale where it would lead it was hard to tell combed our hair just to get that look practiced our lines and we'd bait the hook
sometimes we got lucky, other times we just tried and tried but we were always ready with our teenage alibi's
Chorus
cuz..... It was all about the goodtimes It was all about having fun It was all about hanging out with your friends and dancing in the sun
Verse 2
Way back in nineteen seventy seven it was a simplier time we were living Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller band played on the beach just to get a tan
took our girls for a walk, kissed 'em and we looked them in the eyes we said "come on baby you got a teenage alibi?"
Race'd a chevelle down on Griffin road snapped a belt, and had to have it towed talk was cheap but the action was fun and If we fought we didn't have no guns
paid the price when we got home but we never cried cause we were always sticking to our teenage alibi
Chorus
It was all about the goodtimes It was all about having fun It was all about hanging out with your friends and dancing in the sun
Verse 3
Way back in nineteen seventy eight slipped out the window just to say out late we bought some beer and some cigarettes We drank too much cause we had a bet
but don't you know we all came up with our little white lies yeah we were always working on our teenage alibi
Now were talking about "way back when" and given a chance we'd do it again summertimes that slip and fade and memories that never go away
like a flash of lightning......... Oh way up in the sky it all disappeared with our teenage alibi's | posted: 4/23/2010 6:34:36 PM - email it - view/add comments(0)

REBEL REMORSE Copyright 2007 Rob Young
Verse 1
When I was eighteen years old I was so naive a pack a marlboro's rolled up in my sleeve and a bottle of Jack can be a dangerous thing
I was...hell bent and busted they sent me to jail where my brother's buddy scrapped up my bail Some stories in life are better off left untold
but my son came up to me with a question to ask he said uncle joe was talking about my past and I knew right then and there I had to come clean
Chorus
and I said it is what it is and i was only a kid hey what else can I say... I pray to God you never follow me in the foot prints I have made
you got to listen to that voice inside and watch out for the danger signs and when the fork in the road appears Stand up straight and face your fears I pray to God you never follow me in the foot prints I have made
Verse 2
You got to live your life like your walking a line cause if you stray to far you'll get in a bind and always keep the promises that you make
Try to stay away from greed and lust It'll turn every one of your bones into dust and always try to help your fellow man
Don't live your life on the edge of a knife and if your lucky boy you'll find a good wife That will keep you from the things that drag you down
Chorus
Yeah it is what it is and i was only a kid hey what else can I say.... I just pray to God you never follow me in the foot prints I have made
you got to listen to that voice inside and watch out for the danger signs and when the fork in the road appears Stand up straight and face your fears I pray to God you never follow me in the foot prints I have made
"Where Love Waits at Midnight" Copyright 2009 Rob Young
Verse
By the light of the moon, I can make out your eyes the curve of your body, against the drop of the sky On this road over looking, the lights of the town where our love unfolds, and our dreams can be found
Chorus
I'll wait paitently, doing my time when your ready baby, give me a sign cuz all I want to do, I just want to get this right so I'll meet you in the middle You know where love waits on midnight?
Verse
We don't have to think, we just need to feel and an awkward moment, just keeps it all real and tommorrows dreams, are too far away we just need to show, how were feeling today
Chorus
I'll wait paitently, doing my time when your ready baby, give me a sign cuz all I want to do, I just want to get this right so I'll meet you in the middle You know where love waits on midnight?
Verse
Your sweet breath is sweeter, than sweetest of air the hint of perfume, that I smell in your hair How could I ever, ask for anything more it's just like heaven's come a knocking at my door
Chorus
I'll wait paitently, doing my time when your ready baby, give me a sign cuz all I want to do, I just want to get this right so I'll meet you in the middle You know where love waits on midnight?

The Other Side of Goodbye © 2009 Rob Young
Verse
I keep on moving down this highway cause my restless heart just can't lie still and searching for answers helps me deal with the idle time I have to kill
The mountains way off in the distance remind me that I have a ways to go and guarantees are never certain like how the north-east winds will blow
Chorus
Sometimes we have to lose ourselves, before we can find our way and not knowing where my heart is leading, is better than if I stay and breaking up is hard, you know I feel every tear drop you cry but sometimes true love waits ...... on the other side of goodbye
Verse
You knew last night that I was leaving I thought I'd find you waiting at the door but just like autumn leaves a falling I guess you couldn't hang on anymore
Girl I wish there was a way to fix this guess we just couldn't find the words and the silence in the the hallway was the only thing I ever heard
Chorus
Sometimes we have to lose ourselves, before we can find our way and not knowing where my heart is leading, is better than if I stay and breaking up is hard, you know I feel every tear drop you cry but sometimes true love waits...... on the other side of goodbye

Catfish and Fried Potatoes - © 2009 Rob Young
Verse
Some two hundred miles south of Alabama good ole boys riding hogs wearing red bandanas and they love to stop at their favorite watering hole
You might find them at the beach or a rodeo drunk off their butts when a hurricane blows They think that life's to short to ever compromise
Chorus:
They like catfish with their fried potatoes They like to mess with dem' alligators They love their dirty southern blues on the radio
Verse
They like those Rowdy girls who party on the porch and the smell of metal and an acetylene torch They like to park their bikes beneath the old oak trees
They live their lives without setting no course and they don't give a damn how they do things up north They figure day lights burning "just keep on rolling on"
Chorus:
They like catfish with their fried potatoes They like to mess with dem' alligators They love their dirty southern blues on the radio
Verse
Don't care too much for people who pretend know they ain't perfect and they confess their sins don't try to judge them and you won't set them off
It's all about freedom and all their liberties They damn sure know that it all don't come for free they're always ready when their country comes to call
Chorus:
Cuz...
They like catfish with their fried potatoes They like to mess with dem' alligators They love their dirty southern blues on the radio
On the Radio (Dirty Southern Blues) On the Radio (Dirty Southern Blues) On the Radio (Dirty Southern Blues)
Come on give me some of that...

"FLIM FLAM MAN" Copyright 2009 Rob Young
Verse 1
Albert Sulley was a flim flam man, poker face and a slight of hand he grew up in timbuck two, somewhere in southern Ala-bam
His uncle taught him everything he knew, that they'd never teach a boy in school yeah best you ya'll just keep away, cuz he'll surely play you for a fool
and if he had no change in his pocket he'd have this prayer in his heart if got a pidgeon on the line he'd have a good place to start
Chorus:
Gather round, Gather round, it's the greatest little show in town Gather round, Gather round, he'll pick your pockets clean and he's highway bound
Verse 2
He left home when he was seventeen, found a job down in New Orleans washing dishes on a gambling boat and living off of rice and beans
To Albert it made perfect sense even though it was a criminal offense and in his mind, doing time would be just a minor expense
he quickly learned the fine art of the con from a old man named "Samual Reed" and lined his pockets with sparkiling gold with a shamefull game of deceit
Chorus:
Gather round, Gather round, it's the greatest little show in town Gather round, Gather round, he'll pick your pockets clean and he's highway bound
Verse 3
Albert Sulley lived his life on the run, just 3 steps head of a law man's gun and if you could catch him and ask him why, he'd say "I just do it for the fun"
Then one night in this smoked filled room, Albert came to meet his finale doom A gambling man from San Anton busted his head with the end of a broom
and he died with no change in his pocket and a empty prayer in his heart seems the pidgeon on the line was just a little too smart
Chorus:
Gather round, Gather round, it's the greatest little show in town Gather round, Gather round, he'll pick your pockets clean and he's highway bound
