Bio / History | 3 musicians from various bands that was brought together by a higher force.Most of the first recordings were done by our guitar player Harold.Potty Mouth,Envy,In your Phase,Payback all music he layed down on tracks himself.Played all instruments and just needed someone to sing the lyrics he had wrote.So he Stopped by my house one day by chance and let me hear what he had which I thought was Absolutely Great work.I layed down some vocal tracks for him and we decided we would branch out.So I called the drummer from my last band and also lifetime friend Tony Patterson.He agreed to help with some drum work which in my mind you won't find a better one.Then we all wrote some tracks together.Hate which was really off the cuff since we were trying to record and Harolds phone kept ringing and it would be telemarketers wanting votes one way or another.Thats how the lyrics came about.Then Harold and Tony got together and layed down tracks to Down on this, I throwed the bass lines in and Harold and I Wrote some lyrics.Then we needed a name for this group.We brought the name 3 SPEED from a band Harold and I had Played in awhile back.Now with Tony we were again Three,thus 3 SPEED.We are I guess in hiatus for now or my services are no longer needed for this particular group.However I am still here if need be but in the meantime I have joined XII and having a great time with them.Theres no doubt that these guys are some of the most talented group of people I have had the privelage of working with and maybe someday who knows but enjoy what we have here.I think it says alot about the possibilties of this group.Mark Short. |
